Colonization

One thing that I really found interesting is the discussion on the topic of the european colonization and how it relates to Speaker for the Dead.  This article drew some interesting parallels between the spread of christianity during Eurpoean colonization and the way that the humans colonized other worlds in Speaker for the Dead. The similarity is strikingly similar. In both senarios the people stayed and tryed to create something when they clearly weren't wanter there. This can be seen in history through christian missionaries and in Speaker of the Dead  through the descolada virus.
